Hi, I’m Ashley Korsman; the photographer behind Love Photography. I actually started Love Photo around 2007 / 2008 as Ashley Campbell Photography, but as I’ve gotten older and as my style of photography has grown and evolved, I felt that it was time for its own identity. After taking a couple of years off to plan my own wedding and get settled into married life my hubby, Wayne (Captain Awesome), said to me “Ash, shouldn’t you be kicking off your photography stuff again?” He was absolutely right, although don’t tell him that I said that ;)

So why did I take up photography initially and why, after such a long break, did I come back to it? Well, let me ask you this… Have you ever looked back at old wedding albums, ones belonging to your parents or grandparents? After you’ve stopped laughing at the silly styles of the era, you start noticing how your mom looked so nervous, but still so excited and how your dad’s eyes twinkled as he said his vows. All of those moments can be shared time and time again, and yet they never lose their emotion. Every photograph still speaks to you the way it did the first time you looked at it.

That’s why I went back to shooting weddings. I love photographs and I love the way they make people feel. A photograph can capture a moment in time in such a way that you can still feel the emotions of that one, fleeting second, years after it happened. And I really love seeing newly-weds laugh and smile as they leaf through the pages of their wedding album.

I know planning a wedding is hard work. It’s fun and it can get a little crazy at times, but it’s a lot of work. Give me a shout and let’s see how we can get “book photographer” ticked off on your wedding planning checklist.

Love is a canvas furnished by Nature and embroidered by imagination.
